As for the Steam Deck, I just have most things turned down. It's a small screen and resolution so I really don't care how good it looks. Most things are medium or lower, but certainly turn off Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, that's a performance impact on most hardware. With these settings I get 40-60fps, with the framerate cap in game turned on.
