The tether is now set at 5 or 9, but somehow we can still separate and glide all over the map without triggering this minimal tether, so long as we don't change zones. It is almost as though the tether setting is no longer real. Dependant on the system it can be longer for my group the host went from a Xbox one to a Xbox one X and tether went from 300 to 400 metres I'd imagine series X world be further still.
