Its basically telling you that theres another code somewhere in there and if the problem persists you may eventually see the other code. But if the problem goes away so will the 1693.

P1693 sets in the powertrain control module when there are codes stored in the Cummins engine controller. The engine has it's own controller mounted to the side of the block. There are more codes stored than the P1693. I'm assuming you got this code with the key cycle method, but Cummins codes won't come up this way.

I came inside to pull the code up and found out that i needed a different code reader to find, so i went to advance and borrowed there's. It read the P1693 code and also gave me a P1688.
