It is a longer boat trip from Uvita to what usually is two snorkelling stops near Cano Island (better to do Cano Island tours from Drake Bay). Despite the beach vendors, what makes Biesanz Beach a great day trip is its peaceful ambiance. The crescent-shaped cove is wrapped by a lush jungle, giving the beach a private, intimate feel. The white sand beach meets the calm turquoise water, ideal for swimming or floating in the water.The hike to the beach is rocky, but if you are a regular flip flopper and take care, it is doable in sandals/flops. It is true you will be offered chairs/umbrella, and there is a makeshift bar serving drinks and light food seasonally.
