Max levels only affects the wild dinos max levels, its not a hard cap on everything. Also after taming you can add 71 levels to a dino. So make clear what you want. If you want tame a dino, add all 71 levels into it and after that max be 300, you basically doesnt need to do anything. Max level 150, after taming 224 + 71 = 295.It's 224 post tame plus lvs you put in afterwards. As of December 22nd 2021 the max level on official it's 450.
